Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams headlines eight wild card selections for women's singles draw at the 2021 US Open.
Williams is a two-time champion in New York, having lifted the trophy in 2000 and 2001, and this year will mark her 15th consecutive US Open main draw appearance and 23rd all-time. The former World No. 1, now 41, has not missed a Grand Slam since Wimbledon in 2013.
Joining Williams as wild card selections are former Top 10 player and 2017 US Open semifinalist CoCo Vandeweghe, NCAA singles champion Emma Navarro and a quartet of teenagers: Hailey Baptiste, Ashlyn Krueger, Caty McNally and Katie Volynets. In addition, Australian Storm Sanders has been awarded a reciprocal wild card in agreement with Tennis Australia.
